This Christmas season Perp Games – best known for publishing physical versions of PlayStation VR titles – in conjunction with fellow developers, publishers, and content creators will be holding a festive virtual reality (VR) event called Peace on Earth, celebrating combat in VR.
Starting 1st December and spanning 25 days, the event will be filled with announcements, competitions and more. Revolving around Perp Games’ YouTube channel, every day will feature a selection of new activities based on a particular theme, run by one of the collaborating parties. For example, one day will be dedicated to singleplayer videogames while another looks at multi-player. There’s plenty planned so VRFocus doesn’t want to spoil too much.
It’ll be worth keeping an eye out each day on social media channels as there will be surprise special guests, giveaways, reveals, and exciting behind the scenes looks at some of your favourite VR videogames.
Plus, there will be a charity element. “In the spirit of peace and goodwill, we are proud to be supporting Crisis, the national homelessness charity. For every purchase made on the Perp Games store in December, 100% of the profits will be donated to Crisis, to help give people hope for a future away from homelessness,” notes the company.
“Get ready for 24 days of AdVRent fun, competitions and surprises. And who knows, maybe there will be a special Boxing Day AdVRent door as well?” said Mickey Torode, Director of Publishing at Perp Games of the announcement in a statement.
This isn’t the first time Perp Games has conducted an event like this. Last year the publisher held the Perpmas Advent Calendar event, purely dedicated to PlayStation VR videogames. This year the company wanted to go one better and include a wider variety of titles and therefore, developers.
Recently, Perp Games has launched the long-awaited Golem for PlayStation VR while upcoming titles to complete 2019 include Honor and Duty: D-Day All Out War Edition, Battlewake and Groundhog Day: Like Father Like Son. As the Peace on Earth event gets underway, VRFocus will bring you the latest updates.
