Life In 360°: A Severe Case Of Malpractice

Clowns can bring joy and laughter – or they can be a bit scary. If you’ve not seen it yet I’d recommend you check out the 360 degree video for the upcoming remake of Stephen King’s IT. I’m not even a big horror fan in the slightest and I’m very eager to see that one. Although if you are, indeed, afraid of clowns I would probably not recommend doing so. It’s not exactly going to help matters.

Still with that in mind I thought we could have something a little more on the frightening side as we move from coulrophobia (a fear of clowns) to iatrophobia – a fear of doctors. In this video called The Checkup, which does contain some disturbing imagery, an imprisoned woman is taken through a ward populated by cadavers and hideous spectacles  to see a practicioner who also happens to be some sort of demon / mutant.

He is happy to see her. This is not a good thing. He’s also a believes in Hammurabi-style justice. “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.”

VRFocus will be back next week with more examples of 360 degree filmmaking, but be sure to check out the site throughout today and over the weekend for even more news and features.
