Farpoint Release Date, Price and Bundle Listed by Gamestop

Prior to the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) held a pre-E3 press conference revealing lots of new information about forth coming titles for the PlayStation VR. One of those to be revealed was first-person shooter (FPS) Farpoint from developer Impulse Gear. Then during the show the new AIM VR gun controller was unveiled making its debut alongside Farpoint. Now retailer GameStop has listed the videogame along with a price, launch date and bundle option.

The US GameStop website has Farpoint priced at $49.99 USD with a release date of 30th, June 2017. Now this might just be a place holder date as no official release date has yet been announced by Impulse Gear, as the retailers UK site still lists TBA.

The other product listing on GameStop is for Farpoint and the AIM Controller. This has the same release date along with a price of $79.99. No individual launch date has been revealed for the controller so at present this is the only timeline to go on at the moment.

Farpoint has been the only title demoed with the new controller so far so it’s very possible that its release may coincide with the videogames launch. But the PlayStation VR already has a number of accessories available to purchase for those that have pre-ordered the headset. VRFocus created an accessory guide for those available at the time, but since then several more additions have been released. These include two protective hard cases to store and transport the HMD, and two charging display stands that can hold the device whilst charging controllers.

As further details on Farpoint and the AIM Controller are released, VRFocus will keep you updated.
