No, this isn’t another VRFocus event such as the VR Challenge that happened last week. There is another kind of VR Challenge to be held next week at the Ocean Gala, where guests such as Sir Richard Branson will be attending, all in the name of promoting safer oceans and fishing.
In case you are wondering how VR will play into this whole event, it is said that all VR and AR creators are welcome to enter the competition to create an experience that will support the cause. If the cause alone isn’t enough to entice you, then the prize certainly will be as there is $10,000 (USD) up for grabs if you are the lucky winners, and a chance to attend the event with some high profile people who will be inevitably throwing their money at the cause.
“We are once again pleased to bring together such a passionate group of men and women in a collective effort to protect and celebrate the ocean and its wildlife,” said MaiTai Global co-founder Susi Mai, who works to build up awareness for this cause using tech.
There are the full set of guidelines and rules for those who wish to enter online. The Ocean Gala will be taking place on the 3rd December, and attendees are able to go by invitation only.
