San Francisco, California-based Fyusion, a company that develops computer vision and machine learning technologies, has announced it’s first platform allowing mobile phones to create augmented reality (AR) content.
The platform has been designed for consumers and businesses alike, giving smartphone users the ability to record their surroundings then turn the content into 3D holographic images. These images can then be viewed on AR and mixed reality (MR) devices such as Microsoft HoloLens.

Rusu, CEO at Fyusion. “By making it easy for people to capture their surroundings on any mobile device, we are revolutionizing the way that people view the world around them. This ability to easily capture and model holographic images is built around Fyusion’s patented 3D spatio-temporal technology, that leverages advanced sensor fusion, machine learning, and computer vision algorithms. Part of the platform utilises the Fyuse app which the company has natively embedded in smartphones through several partnerships. These partners include Huawei and TCL plus several others. Currently still in development, the Fyusion AR platform will be giving partners early access, with additional functions to be added. While the Fyuse app spatial photography app is already available for iOS and Android for free.
