Last month saw the arrival of Star Chart on Steam for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, where only the former version was available. Now Star Chart is available for the HTC Vive, and the developers ensure that there will be many more developments made on the title over the next year.
Star Chart is a virtual reality (VR) planetarium where you can look up at the night sky and through the solar system to see a real-time simulation of what is actually going on. It is said that the app is downloaded by over 20 million people worldwide, and all of those people can view all 88 constellations as well as what it is to look at the smallest moons of Saturn to the coldest, darkest, farthest reaches of Pluto.
The Star Chart team posted an update to inform us on the release of the HTC Vive version, and along with the update came this piece of information which might excite some players: “Please note that although we are not in Early Access, the experience will be heavily extended throughout this year and into the future. Please expect updates across all platforms and provide us with any and all feature requests, bug reports and more as you see fit.”
Right now Star Chart is on special promotion on Steam, as it is available for £5.94 (GBP) until the 12th September, 15% less than the original £6.99.
