FPS Inner Chains Showcases Gruesome New Character

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Inner Chains, the forthcoming horror first-person shooter (FPS) from Telepaths’ Tree. A successful crowdfunding campaign that concluded back in March 2016 has allowed the developers to continue with the project, now revealing some new environments and a horrifying new enemy.

Inner Chains is set in a surreal, dark, and deadly biomechanical world. You are just a small part of a hostile, unwelcoming universe. If you want to survive, the only thing you can do is to try to discover its secrets. The new enemy introduced here is a priest guarding a long lost technology. Smarter than subordinate fanatics, he keeps his distance while trying to snipe his target. When forced to grapple however, he’s not entirely helpless.

The priest was originally revealed during the Kickstarter campaign via concept art, but is now displayed here in all his gruesome glory. Below you will also find some new environment images taken directly from the videogame.

Built using Unreal Engine 4, Inner Chains is currently in development for Windows and Linux PCs, with virtual reality (VR) support guaranteed from the start of the Kickstarter campaign. However, there’s currently no word on which head-mounted displays (HMDs) will be supported. Inner Chains is set for release late in 2016, and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details.
